Babies Are Cruisin' Dry with New Pampers (Giveaway too! {CLOSED})

Sunday, February 28, 2010

Did you know that a nine-month-old baby can crawl up to a quarter of a mile in 20 minutes? And a cruising baby can take as many steps, in one day, as a marathon runner?

Wow!

Since our little princess started walking last month, I would swear she's more than doubled that!

And with a little "rear in gear" it's important to have a diaper that is flexible but still performs its diaper "duties."

When Pampers provided me with a week's free supply of their newly redesigned Cruisers, I was ecstatic.

I've been using Pampers brand now for many years....since my oldest son (now 18) was in diapers.

This was the first time though I had ever used the Cruisers style.

Za-bam! Now here is a diaper that's designed for an itty-bitty on the go!

Thinner than your typical diapers but still protecting that precious baby skin from the "yuckies" (in my opinion, even better than before!), these Sesame Street decorated diapers mold to baby; creating flexibility to do what baby does best: move.

If you got a little precious that is or about to be mobile, you've got to try Pampers Cruisers with Dry-Max. Visit http://www.pampers.com/ to receive a free sample and then register for the giveaway here!

I think you'll agree that these diapers ROCK!

Do You Have Mid-Face Sink?

Wednesday, February 24, 2010

Getting older happens.

But it doesn't mean you just have to give in to it.

As we age, we lose natural collagen which gives a "mid-face sink" appearance; that sunken, hollowed look to the cheeks and under eye area.

And if that isn't bad enough, age results in yellow, sallow and thin, which really highlights the mid-face sink.

At 36, I'm beginning the long battle of keeping the effects of aging at bay.

I was excited when GoodSkin Labs offered to let me try their latest in skincare innovation: Filextra™ Facial Revolumizing Treatment with Collagen.

Filextra's Triple Action Reconstruction works to boost natural collagen production, which visibly corrects the effects of the "mid-face sink" in three phrases: Rebuild, Refill, and Revolumize.

I've been using Filextra now for almost 5 weeks, and I'm happy to report that I have noticed a clear difference in my skin. The dark circles under my eyes, while still there, are less visible while my cheeks, forehead, and chin - all areas prone to uneven skin tones is sporting a more homogeneous color all over.

Looking better makes me feel better. And while it's a feeling that's priceless, why spend hundreds or thousands of dollars with a dermatologist when you can get the same results at home?

Filextra™ is available at Kohl's, online or in stores, for only $42.50.

Dear McMinnville, Tennessee Sonic

Friday, February 19, 2010

Everybody knew you had the BEST Dr. Peppers. They were sooo good that many of us were addicted to the sweetness that we had to have one every day. (Sometimes more than one a day)

Even other Sonic Drive-Ins could match that AWESOME drink.

But then you went and changed your syrup to something that's supposed to be a cost saver.

Something YUCKY!

Truth is, it's only going to be a profit slasher. Because now, I don't even bother. And several others have said they can get a Dr. Pepper from just any fast food place.

The specialness is gone now. You're plain. Just average.

Change it back. And we'll come back.

Please! In the name of all things good and pure...CHANGE IT BACK!

I * Love * These Sippy Cups!

Sunday, February 14, 2010

I've always been excited when one of my four children was ready to start drinking from something other than the bottle.

But I have to admit I'm not a fan of the sippy cup either.

After watching my little ones suck and suck on a sippy cup, I tried it myself. And while I had a much easier time getting liquid out, it still took a lot of effort.

So, after a while, I just removed the flow valve.

Which then leads to spills.

Ugh.

When provided with free samples of the new-to-the-U.S. trainer cups by Tomme Tippee®, I really didn't hold out a lot of hope that they would be much a different. But I'm willing to try anything once.

WOW! WOW! WOW!

FINALLY....someone has listened to these complaints and created a sippy cup that WORKS.

Tommee Tippee Sippy CupsI have been a Mom for 18 years now, and I have never found a product where I have seen such a HUGE improvement.

Designed by a physicist to be both so sensitive that liquid flows on demand yet truly remain spill and leak proof, Tommee Tippee® are created with BPA Free plastics in stages starting as early as 6 months.

I am so very impressed with these AWESOME sippy cups from Britian's #1 baby feeding brand and STRONGLY recommend them to everyone!

P.S. Join Tommee Tippee on Twitter, and enter their sweepstakes on Facebook!

Save Money with Free Samples at TripletsMommy.com

I don't know about you, but for me there is nothing that compares to the feeling of turning a $300 grocery bill into $185. (And that was just my last shopping trip....some are worse, some are better.)

My ultimate goal is to become one of those women you see on television or in magazines that walk out of the store with $300 worth of groceries and paid only $10 out-of-pocket.

Of course, that requires the use of a a lot of coupons. And since the Sunday paper doesn't host that many, shoppers need other resources.

That's how I discovered Triplets Mommy and Friends. While their site is focused predominately on free samples, many of those freebies are by way of coupon; which can help accomplish exactly what I intend to do.

For example, I recently signed up for the free Excedrin product coupon. According to the site, I'll receive a coupon in the mail within 3 to 5 days - in plenty of time before my next grocery shopping excursion!

I also requested free samples from Clorox Green Works, Cream of Wheat, Glade Fragrance, Arm and Hammer toothpaste, Colgate Kids toothbrush, and so many more.

Check Out TripletsMommy.com to to see what goodies you can find!

Randomly Thinking Out Loud

Tuesday, February 9, 2010

As I look out the window today, I can see more snow.

Fortunately, it's melting as soon as it hits the ground.

And I'm happy about that.

The five inch snow we had weekend before last was fun. But I'm over it.

Of course, I shouldn't be surprised it's snowing. Eighteen years ago today it was snowing when I gave birth to my oldest son.

He's officially a man today.

It's a bittersweet feeling. On one hand, I'm happy that he's now an adult; leaving me scot-free of any responsibility, by law anyway, of any stupid stuff he does.

But as a man he's also responsible for making his own decisions...and that scares the crap out of me.

Fortunately, he's a good kid. And I think I've done a good job.

I'll keep my fingers crossed.

And as I send one into adulthood, I'm just getting started with another.

As I sit here and type, my one-year-old is creating havoc all through the house.

I was so anxious for her to walk. Now she is and I long for the days when she wasn't.

Not really but...

Well, time to put away the random thoughts....she's into something else.

I can't see her, but I know she is.

Because it's too quiet.

Ever had this happen to you?

Friday, February 5, 2010

If you've ever enjoyed a holiday, stayed in a hotel (especially near the beach), did you ever long to stay in a roomy, home-like, and much more peaceful vacation rental?

I can't tell you how many places I've stayed where I could have really used that guy from the above vacation rental commercial to save me from the headaches associated with hotel stays. (Although I prefer to be saved me before I arrive instead of at the front desk!)

If you're planning a vacation, you've got to check out Vacation Rental.org to find rentals at your destination whose owners strive to meet the highest standards of quality.

18 Year Old Birthday Ideas....Anyone?

It's Aloha Friday time! Hosted by Kailani at An Island Life.

Seems like forever since I joined in. Actually, seems like forever since I've updated my blog.

Definitely getting harder to do these days with a one-year-old running loose. :)

Anyways....Can you believe on Tuesday I will have an 18-year-old son? I can't!

Seems like just yesterday he was I was holding him in my arms. Unsure what to do with his little wrinkled, red self. (Not to mention that funky cone shaped head where the doctor vaccuumed him out...lol)

Before I get all weepy...

He doesn't want a big shindig from Mom and Dad - which I understand, being a guy and all - but I'd like to do something a little extra special for this birthday besides the standard cake, ice cream, gift.

What would be something a little extra special I could do
for an 18-year-old boy's man's birthday?
