Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: Diamond Edition Combo Pack Review

Sunday, October 4, 2009

The story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was the movie that started it all!

I remember being a very young girl, watching this fascinating fairy tale with extreme intensity and someday looking forward to meeting my prince.

There was no hesitation on my part when offered the opportunity by One2One to preview the newly enhanced movie set to release from Disney's vault on October 6, 2009.

And, I'm happy to say, some 20 odd years later, I still LOVE Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Not only did I take a trip down memory lane, but this time I got to share it with my daughter.

Fortunately, since she's only 8 months, we now own it on DVD and Blu-Ray so that she can enjoy when she's older.

But don't misunderstand... Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs isn't just for girls. My 4-year-old son enjoyed the movie just as much as I!

The color has been enhanced and a lot of the "noise" found in older movies has been cleared away, making for a clearer, more enjoyable film while still retaining the "old fashioned" feel.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is truly a MUST own video. The Diamond Edition set to release on October 6, 2009, includes a Blu-ray and DVD in one package! The 2-disc special comes with tons of extras, including:

  • All new music video

  • Disneyview: an expanded viewing experience

  • Disney Family Plan: games for everyone to enjoy

  • Backstage Disney: go behind the scenes of this legendary tale.

  • Classic Bonus Features that includes Dopey's Wild Mine Ride Game, Karaoke Sing A Long, and so much more.

Having debuted in 1937, Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has captured the minds and hearts of the young and young-at-heart for 32 years. With this special release, Disney will capture a whole new generation who will always believe in fairy tales!

This will be a treasured addition to any movie collection. Buy yours before it goes back into the vault!

Visit the official Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs website for a chance to win 1 of 7 diamond rings and also find out how you can save $10 on this special diamond edition.

P.S. The Diamond Edition also includes a sneak-peek of The Princess and the Frog, a new film featuring Disney's first black princess that's set to release Christmas 2009.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Movie Review)

Sunday, July 19, 2009

If you even remotely liked the first two Ice Age movies, you'll love Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.

The best of the Ice Age movies thus far, in my opinion.

Manny (voice: Ray Ramano) and Elli (voice: Queen Latifah), the only living mammoths on earth, are expecting a new addition to their family.

Such an event evokes unexpected emotions from Sid (voice: John Leguizamo and Diego (voice: Denis Leary) about their own roles in life.

As luck would have it, Sid has the opportunity to become a parent himself when he stumbles upon three abandoned eggs in an icy cave; who soon after discovery by Sid hatch into baby dinosaurs - which, during the Ice Age, are believed to be extinct.

Unfortunately - as it usually goes for Sid - the three eggs weren't abandoned by their Dinosaur mother and she wants babies back.

Sid tells the Dinosaur mother that, if she wants her babies, she'll have to go through him.

And she does.

Snatching up Sid, along with her babies, she disappears and it's up to Manny and the gang to get him back home safely.

"He who has gas travels at the back of the pack!"

What ensues is an adventure like no other as Ice Age animals learn that a tropical land exists beneath their ice-filled world; one filled with huge, horrifying dinosaurs - and a new friend.

Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is a great movie for the whole family! Filled with hilarious one-liners and awesome animations, you forget everything you were ever taught about dinosaurs not living during the Ice Age.

This movie is rated PG for mild language and sexual innuendo; however, I found it to be very discreet and only understood by adults.
