Random Thoughts (More Like A Rant) on Illegal Immigration
Tuesday, July 14, 2009
I happened across a news post the other day pertaining to illegal immigrants whining about their hardships during the current recession.
Specifically, an illegal who had lost his job in the boat manufacturing trade was playing on the bleeding hearts about having to move into a home with others where before he had a home with just him and his children.
Boo-freakin'-woo.
There's a boatload (pun intended) of legal Americans doing the same thing.
They can't consider just "running back home" like the illegal in the story because they have no home to run back to. America is their home, and there's no choice but to stick it out and pray for the best.
And, I swear, if I hear one more person say "we're all immigrants," I'm going to slap them silly.
Yeah, we're all immigrants; but, guess what, our forefathers did it legally. And I have no problem with those who take the proper channels to live and work in America. America is a melting pot - but you need a recipe (immigration rules) to make the soup turn out right.
And the 13% of Americans who are all for amnesty (read: 87% of Americans are not), usually make their arguments on how we took the land from the American Indians.
Yes, we did. We did it just like everyone did it back then. We fought for it. Winner takes all. It happened all over the world (well, a lot of it anyway). And it is still happening today - just look at the issues surrounding the Gaza Strip.
Mexicans and other illegals want America? Try fighting for it. You won't win, but you can try.
I'd prefer they put a fight rather than just slipping in under the cover of darkness, popping out an anchor baby, then sucking off a welfare system they haven't paid a dime into.
I figure someone this post will fall into the hands of those 13% and I'll be berated for my opinion. I'll be called "racist" (because somehow people forget there are white illegals too and I'm pointing the finger at them as well) or, if they want to sink really low, a "mean person."
Don't care.
I'm an American. A proud American. I am thankful for all that my forefathers did to ensure me a better life in the greatest country in the World.
I don't want to see it ruined by people who don't care to play by the rules and wait their turn in line.
A funny tagline on this issue: Calling an illegal immigrant an undocumented worker is like calling a drug dealer an unlicensed pharmacist. (Think on that one for a bit!)
5 chatted about this topic:
That's a big Boo-freaking-Hoo from me as well!!
Nice random BTW!
I totally agree with you and it is all illegals that are the problem. I am not racist or prejudice and have family members who are married to other races but they came here legally and went through all the right channels and even had to go back and leave their family for a year till the paperwork went through. DO things right and send the illegals back and maybe our economy would rebound a little because the government wouldn't be spending so much on the illegals and more Americans could get things they need, like a job!
Don't let down your guard on E-Verify?
We settle more new immigrants annually, than any other country in the world.
It’s our phone calls that can derail any thoughts of another AMNESTY? Fill their eardrums with public rage not to undermine E-Verify. WE WANT A PERMANENT FOR EVERYONE WHO COLLECTS A PAY CHECK! Today! As never before they are reacting and listening to millions of patriotic Americans and pro-sovereignty groups, in which E-Verify have become a solid foundation to identify and remove foreign labor. Taxpayers money should be spent on infrastructure, our own weak and sick, our veterans who are homeless, our unemployed and those who real immigrants who respect our laws. Until the inception of the Internet, Americans and legal residents had no way of communicating between ourselves. Now we can? Now we should use every means possible to elaborate, that we are well and truly seething, because they are siding with the globalists, money people, open border subversives.
We are not bigots because we love our country and don't want to turn into a third world society. We do not want to live in an OVERPOPULATED, congested land. We have been paying for years--illegal immigrant’s support, instead of the procurers--the businesses that employ them. Our charged voices have set-off a chain reaction amongst the Washington political masses, because we actually turned the tables on the anti-sovereignty, pro-illegal immigration organizations. They are building the original border fence as originally planned, not faulty short-cuts? But we have enemies who have ignored their oath of office and plan to weaken any amendments. As with the 1986 immigration AMNESTY law that was never broken, but disrupted and never enforced. Now they want another AMNESTY or immigration reform package.
It was the politicians who caused the problem of between 13 to 20 million settling here and unable to support themselves. Lawmakers can now stew in their own juices, because we refuse--absolutely refuse, to be sold on another path to citizenship, as it will be yet another higher tax burden on taxpayers. California being just one of many Sanctuary States--that has produced massive budget deficit problems, cause by the huge influx of illegal poor living on state and federal welfare.
Senators and Representatives aides are unhappy with the constant bombardment from millions of Americans, but they are the bridge that must be crossed everyday? No respite, no retreat? Keep up the pressure, till their ears bleed? Keep up the invaluable rumblings in the beltway at 202-224-3121 THAT THE POPULATION IS MAD AND NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE! ATTENTION! Because of the massive payments to illegal immigrants in California, their is a petition. Google--TAXPAYER REVOLUTION. Very few newspapers will mention this activist petition. When is the American flag going to fly again in the once Golden state?
BRAVO!!!!
I only disagree with one thing in your rant. Many generations ago, my ancestors came here legally through Ellis Island. Although there are also Native Americans in my ancestry, the majority of them were immigrants. Those are the ones who were quarantined until their health and criminal backgrounds could be checked before being allowed to become American Citizens.
Those generations following, were American born citizens, not immigrants. I am an American, I was not born in Germany, England and Ireland as my ancestors were, I was born in America and I refuse to call myself an immigrant.
The issue we are dealing with is not about immigrants, it is about illegal aliens from more than 32 different countries. Most of them are here with no health check, no criminal background check, a lack of respect for our immigration laws and they are demanding rights that they are not entitled to.
Unfortunately, our corrupt government officials and judges are backing them up in their endeavors because they love the campaign contributions from big business and the lobbyist who believe illegal aliens should have the rights to all things American.
The 87% who disapprove of illegal immigration have to stand on theirs hind legs and make their voices heard.
