Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Movie Review)
Sunday, July 19, 2009
If you even remotely liked the first two Ice Age movies, you'll love Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.
The best of the Ice Age movies thus far, in my opinion.
Manny (voice: Ray Ramano) and Elli (voice: Queen Latifah), the only living mammoths on earth, are expecting a new addition to their family.
Such an event evokes unexpected emotions from Sid (voice: John Leguizamo and Diego (voice: Denis Leary) about their own roles in life.
As luck would have it, Sid has the opportunity to become a parent himself when he stumbles upon three abandoned eggs in an icy cave; who soon after discovery by Sid hatch into baby dinosaurs - which, during the Ice Age, are believed to be extinct.
Unfortunately - as it usually goes for Sid - the three eggs weren't abandoned by their Dinosaur mother and she wants babies back.
Sid tells the Dinosaur mother that, if she wants her babies, she'll have to go through him.
And she does.
Snatching up Sid, along with her babies, she disappears and it's up to Manny and the gang to get him back home safely.
"He who has gas travels at the back of the pack!" |
What ensues is an adventure like no other as Ice Age animals learn that a tropical land exists beneath their ice-filled world; one filled with huge, horrifying dinosaurs - and a new friend.
Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is a great movie for the whole family! Filled with hilarious one-liners and awesome animations, you forget everything you were ever taught about dinosaurs not living during the Ice Age.
This movie is rated PG for mild language and sexual innuendo; however, I found it to be very discreet and only understood by adults.
