Reclaiming My Kitchen Table (Tackle It Tuesday)
Tuesday, April 28, 2009
Following the birth of my daughter in January, I decided it was time to close my ribbon business. Adding her to the three kiddos I already had left me little time to manage an online retail store.
In the course of trying to do inventory, listing products in a new web store, and finishing up a few of my own projects, half of my kitchen table became "lost" in the clutter.
It was so sad to see a child shuffle ribbon, scissors, boxes, bags, pins, and other craft supplies around so that they can squeeze in to eat a meal.
So my Tackle It Tuesday project for this week was - you guessed it - clearing off the kitchen table!

Great job. I'd be happy if my table looked like your before picture most of the time. There are days when we can barely find the table. At least my daughter has her own small table which we do manage to keep clean.
Cool, Will you eat dinner at that table now that it is clear?
I know what you mean - it just seems the clutter never ends! (And my kids aren't even in school with all that paperwork yet!)
Great job! I myself just recently went through all the junk on my table and now we try to eat on it as much as possible. I will admit, there are still times it gets cluttered, but to be honest, it's a lot better than it used to be!
I found you through Blissfully Domestic!
Isn't it amazing how much better you feel in your house with just one little spot cleared off!
Yeah!! Good for you! It is really hard to get things done after you have a baby! Your table looks fabulous!
Check out my tackle here.
I'm sure you feel so much better now looking at your beautiful table!
Great before and after pics. Clean and clutter free makes life so much easier!
Isn't it crazy how a clean kitchen table makes the whole house feel clean!?!?!
